When someone describes a new musical act the most common thing you will hear is that they sound like (insert known musical act name here). Grace and Tony won't make it that easy for you. Their music could be described as one part bluegrass and one part punk with shades of folk, ragtime, country, blues, and whatever else they feel like throwing in the mix. But if you ask them to describe their music they will do it in one word: Grassphemy.

Grace Schultz and Tony White hail from the town of Loretto, a small town near Lawrenceburg, Tennessee just north of the Alabama line between Nashville and Muscle Shoals. The area is best known as the home of former senator and actor Fred Thompson, a bustling Amish community, and the only F5 tornado to ever hit the state of Tennessee.

Their songs combine catchy melodies with complex and often dark lyrics. Most people equate an upbeat major chord progression song with a happy song, but Grace and Tony don't abide by any rules or conventional way of doing things. They could be singing about a murder, each other, an evil mastermind's plot, living with guilt, or a loving couple letting one another down.

They are currently finishing their debut album and are getting ready to head out on tour. You can find out more about them at http://www.graceandtonymusic.com and follow them on Facebook. You will be hearing more from these two, it's inevitable.
